What happens if you get mascara in your eye?

What happens if you get mascara in your eye and don’t get it out? I put on some mascara today and some tiny pieces of mascara got in my eye. I rubbed my eyes and i think I got all of it out. What if there’s still more in my eyes, like in the upper eye lid?

if you blink a lot it should come out. your body should filter it out, don’t worry. mascara is made to be safe for your eye.

it will come out eventually, if its not bothering you (cant feel it) than its fine, it will come out itself

nothing happens. it’ll just come out the next time you wash your face. it’s nothing to worry about. the same thing happens to me basically everyday.

try rinsing it out.
when you rub your eyes it makes it more irritating.

this is what i do
after a while of putting on eye makeup including eyeliner and mascara
i always leave a bit of residue on my eye balls
i just wet a q-tip with eye drops, artificial tears, or clean water
pull down my bottom lid
and i’ll just wipe off the black bits on the inside of the lid
(i know it sounds painful, but it doesn’t hurt)
and then i put in some eye drops to clear up my eyes further

I do it all the time, you should be fine. If it’s still bothering you, put some eye drops in.

when you sleep, its most likely going to come out.
